36 min
Summary
Classic pinball podcast explores Target Alpha restoration and placement at local restaurant during pandemic.
George and Dave transport and set up a restored Target Alpha (Gottlieb, 1976) at Mel's Commonwealth Cafe in Wayland, Massachusetts to help attract customers during pandemic-related restrictions. They discuss the game's mechanics, its restoration by PJ's brother Stu, and tangentially explore Night Rider (EM) pinball, Raspberry Pi sound board upgrades for older solid-state machines, and ongoing restoration work on other titles including Twilight Zone.
My how things have changed.....This episode starts with Dave delivering a Target Alpha to his friend and restaurant owner PJ. We talk about pinball but the news of the day creeps in from time to time. The conversation finds us talking about Night Rider and raspberry pi. Oh no....Twilight Zone? What’s in the shop?
