My Arcade GameStation Go In-Depth Review + How to Add Games Tutorial
Summary
Kongs-R-Us reviews the Atari GameStation Go handheld, praising its UI and expandability but calling the $180 price high.
Kongs-R-Us reviews the Atari GameStation Go handheld from My Arcade, sent for review, praising its UI, stock Atari Recharge games, and controls while criticizing its $179.99 retail price and build quality. He walks through a micro SD expansion method for adding ROMs, noting that some formats like Dreamcast titles don't load and that the horizontal screen stretches vertical shooters. He concludes it's a strong retro device that would be a good buy at a sale price near $150.
Thank you to the MyArcade Team for sending me this product for review! I've tested and played this for the last month and have been highly impressed with the quality of the handheld compared to other MyArcade product offerings. The simple UI is great for multiple console emulation, PLUS the ability to easily add thousands of games for free is fantastic. The biggest con is the MSRP price point at $179.99. If this were around the $150 mark or slightly lower, this would be a tremendous buy so hopefully you may be able to catch it on sale sometime!
