Williams Black Rose MPU and Driver Board Repair and Test
Video
Summary
Hibler repairs a resetting Williams Black Rose MPU and driver board pair, fixing an open cap, corrosion and a torn trace.
Chris Hibler walks through a repair and test of an MPU and power driver board pair from a Williams Black Rose that was resetting. He found an open capacitor, a tear between C6 and C7 that he jumpered, and alkaline corrosion on the MPU that he abated and conformal coated. After replacing power headers and other components, he ran switch, direct switch, solenoid, lamp and flasher tests and confirmed the board pair works, then set adjustments and clock options.
