The Spinner Is Lit - Episode 74_Joe Abate_Operator

Joe Abate, an experienced pinball operator and technician, discusses his journey from laser disc restoration hobbyist to full-service arcade operator. He details his background as "the laser guy," his transition to pinball (catalyzed by Theater of Magic), his repair expertise learned from old-timers in the industry, and his vision for Playfield Sports and Games: a new full-service venue opening in downtown Reno featuring 15-17 pinball machines, video games, food, and a full bar. The venue emphasizes nostalgia and experiential design rather than focusing solely on pinball.
