EP05 PinTalk with Sterling and David
The Pinball Studio Podcast
2 hr 24 min
Summary
Sterling and David discuss Fallout, Pinstock tournament results, and Stern's premium pricing strategy.
Sterling and David discuss recent pinball experiences, particularly their first impressions of Fallout (Keith Elwin design), which Sterling finds less impressive than typical Elwin games despite appreciating the rules depth. They cover the Pinstock tournament in South Carolina, David's tournament performance and memorable Game of Thrones play, tournament streaming, and various personal pinball collecting/restoration updates. Discussion touches on Stern's pricing strategy for Elwin games, remakes (AC/DC, KISS), and broader community dynamics around tournaments and arcade venues.
Episode 5 of PinTalk is packed with conversation as David shares his first impressions of Fallout and Sterling talks about how he no longer plays pinball. We touch on just about everything going on in the hobby, with plenty of opinions, laughs, and detours along the way.
