Summary
The Classic Pinball Podcast explores Steve Ritchie's Firepower and Flash with extensive restoration details and gameplay.
A detailed restoration and gameplay discussion of two classic Steve Ritchie-designed Williams pinball machines: Firepower (1980) and Flash (1978). The host George and restorer Dave showcase an extensively rebuilt Firepower with new plastics, backglass, LED upgrades, WPC flipper mechs, and custom displays, discussing its multiball mechanics, lane-change feature, and gameplay flow. The episode includes gameplay footage and transitions to Flash for a back-to-back comparison of both iconic early Ritchie titles.
Gotcha! This episode is not about Sargent Agarn or Captain Parmenter, it’s the two games early in Steves career beginning with the letter F: Flash and Firepower. Double feature. Enjoy!
