Summary
Punk Rock Pinball introduces 'Pin-Jitsu' belt ranking system for local players.
Punk Rock Pinball Podcast Episode 66 is a lighthearted episode featuring hosts Stephanie and Mike discussing a fun concept called 'Pin-Jitsu': a martial arts-inspired ranking system for pinball players using belt levels (white, blue, purple, brown, black). The hosts also share local tournament results, preview an upcoming tournament, and analyze play count data and outlane drain statistics from their HQ arcade.
Highlights
- Black Knight: Sword of Rage has the highest outlane drain percentage at 48.4% of all games at HQ
- Guardians of the Galaxy, which arrived 1-2 weeks prior, achieved 226 plays in the last 28 days: higher than Foo Fighters, Mandalorian, Led Zeppelin, and Beatles
- Fall of the Empire was dethroned from the top play count position because local players became too skilled at it and avoided picking it in league competition
- CJ finished 29th at PAPA, which qualifies him as a brown belt under the Pin-Jitsu system
- Joey just earned a black belt in Taekwondo, which inspired the Pin-Jitsu belt concept
