Summary
Hosts excited about rumored Pokemon Stern pinball, propose exclusive card bundling for LE machines.
Hosts discuss rumors of an upcoming Stern Pokemon pinball machine co-designed by Jack Danger and George Gomez. They debate Pokemon's viability as a pinball theme, argue it's a massive IP that some podcasters underestimate, speculate on Insider Connected features and limited-time Pokemon catches similar to John Wick contracts, and propose that Pokemon LE machines should include exclusive Pokemon trading cards as a bundled collectible.
Highlights
- George Gomez confirmed the next Stern machine is either Transformers or Pokemon
- Pokemon is the number one licensed property in the world, bigger than Star Wars
- 1 million Pokemon trading cards were graded by PSA in November 2025
- The Pokemon machine is expected to be announced in January, probably at CES
- Jack Danger's design on Uncanny X-Men has overly ambitious plunge mechanics that don't always work on production units
