This PINcast recap covers Pinball Expo month (October 2026), with hosts Jonathan Yen (Pinball Magazine) and Martin Aup (Pinball News) describing their trip to Spooky Pinball in Benton, Wisconsin, the American Pinball open house in Palatine, the Bumper Blast event, and a Stern Pinball factory tour. Nothing generates more news from across the industry than the annual Pinball Expo, and there’s so much to talk about after this year’s 42nd show. So, join Jonathan and Martin as they bring you all the excitement, the announcements, and the inside information in the latest October 2026 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast. While every major manufacturer had a stand at Pinball Expo to exhibit their latest products, Jonathan and Martin visited Spooky Pinball, American Pinball, Jersey Jack Pinball and Stern Pinball to get all the news from them before the show, the seminars and factory tours began. Stern Pinball traditionally announce their new ’Remastered’ game just before Expo so they can feature it on their factory tour and then bring it to the show floor. This year, however, delays in getting licensor approval meant that AC/DC Remastered could be announced with a partial reveal, but the game couldn’t be shown to, or played by, the public. Despite that, after hosting their regular Expo factory tour, Stern Pinball held three seminars back at the show, with the design teams from the three previous Stern titles – Fallout, Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye and Pokémon – explaining their creative inspirations and design processes. Meanwhile, American Pinball presented the Ringmaster Edition of their Cirqus Voltaire Reimagined game, first at a pre-show open house and then at Pinball Expo with an impressively vibrant stand showcasing their new release alongside a selection of previous titles. Two companies announced what their next games would be, without actually revealing any details. Dutch Pinball confirmed the long-standing rumours by teasing their Back to the Future game which is due to enter production in Q2 2027, while Spooky Pinball also surprised almost nobody by announcing The Goonies as their next release, with a full reveal later this month.
