Episode 245 - World Poker Tour Remastered?
Eclectic Gamers Podcast
50 min
Summary
Sparse pinball news drives discussion of designer brand power and dream Stern remasters.
Tony and Dennis discuss pinball news (limited), including King Kong and Dune updates, debate the "Elwynn effect" on game sales, and engage in a fun hypothetical exercise about which Stern games they would remaster (AC/DC, World Poker Tour, Lord of the Rings, Tron, Game of Thrones, Star Trek, Ghostbusters, Elvis, Wheel of Fortune). They also briefly discuss video games (Yakuza, Brotato) and community emails.
Pinball: We briefly discuss how Kong and Dune are doing, go over a couple listener emails, and then pick five Stern games we think would be interesting for the Remaster treatment. Video Games: We talk about Overwatch's unionization, Nintendo wanting to brick their systems for cheating, EA having more layoffs, and Xbox raising the price on their years' old systems. Plus, GTA6 is delayed now. None!
