- Venom features four selectable character hosts (Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker) plus three unlockable hosts (Venomized Hulk, Captain America, Wolverine) that change playfield scoop configuration and shot patterns
- Mark Tremonti provided 12+ music tracks focused on Eddie Brock host, with different styles for each character and integrated sound design throughout the game
- Fast lock mechanism immediately kicks balls from locks to flippers rather than routing through traditional trough/kickout sequence
- Insider Connected feature enables persistent leveling (up to level 30+ to reach wizard mode), cross-location character progression, speedrun timing, and team-up character unlocks
- Carnage is a kinetic animatronic that moves based on hit force; pushing him back far enough triggers Carnage multiball on center ramp
- Doppelganger is a pop-up animatronic triggered by hitting infected targets; features three uplift targets with lighting mechanics
- Players can lock up to six balls total (three per side) with different battle opponents and bonuses depending on side chosen
